The Town of Omro Planning Commission was officially created with the adoption of Ordinance No. 2004-02 on April 12, 2004. This ordinance repealed and replaced the previously established "Planning Agency" ordinance of 2001.
The Planning Commission cannot, on its own, make decisions considered to be “final”, but plays an important role in that it serves to review applications for land divisions, conditional uses, variances and zoning changes, after which it makes recommendations to the Town Board for approval/denial of such, along with any suggested conditions for approval.
